Tad Kubbler was born by chance the morning of the 2009 US National Tournament – then called the Midwest Championships. Arriving in Eau Claire from Minneapolis a foursome signed up for two teams, they hadn’t thought about how to spilt up. Abby Jensen, Jake Freeberg, Cole Vryens, and Eric Goplin each took their first six throws ever with an Old Time Games set at the baseline to determine the teams. Eric hit one, Cole hit two, and Tad Kubbler was off and running. They took 4th that year and Eric Goplin and Cole Vryens will play together in their 5th US National tournament in Eau Claire in 2013. Anders Thorstenson joined Tad Kubbler in 2012 and is a pure force on the pitch.
